Samsung Electronics commences mass production of SSD for AI computers

Samsung Electronics, a top Korean company, declared they have started producing their newest cutting-edge solid-state drive (SSD) designed for high-performance AI personal computers. The organization announced that the PM9E1 SSD, known for having the top performance and biggest capacity in the industry, is constructed using their own 5-nanometer controller and eighth-gen V-NAND technology.
As per the company's statement, the PM9E1 offers strong performance and improved power efficiency, making it the perfect choice for on-device AI computers. All main qualities have been enhanced in comparison to the previous version. Beginning with the PM9E1, Samsung aims to broaden its range of high-tech SSD options for worldwide PC manufacturers and anticipates introducing consumer goods utilizing the product in order to strengthen its position as a market leader.
"Our PM9E1 integrated with a 5nm controller delivers industry-leading power efficiency and utmost performance validated by our key partners," said Bae Yong-cheol, Samsung's executive vice president of memory product planning. (Yonhap)
